What Would Jesus Say
 

What would Jesus really say
If he heard the children cry
Would he bomb a factory
If there was a school nearby
Maybe he would simply say
It’s always been like this
And then send in the napalm
To burn them to a crisp

Would he say let's torture them
When prisoners don't confess
Would he take some pictures
And act like all the rest
Would he say it’s time to die
I killed all that I could
They all got what they deserve
And I’m doing what I should

What kind of man was Jesus
What did he create
Was he sent into this world
To teach us all to hate
Tell me all you good people
Who would Jesus curse
Tell me all you good people
Who would Jesus bomb first

Would he say there’s lots to fear
We'll settle an old score
Would he whisper in our ear
It’s time to go to war
Maybe he would really say
Those words some can’t condone
He among you without sin
Let him cast the first stone
