Beautiful World
 

Our world is slowly dying
Don't tell me it's not so
In case you haven't noticed
There's no place else to go
From down here our world looks green
From space a beautiful blue
But we won't see any colors
When the air is CO2

What hope is there for the world
When the corporate suits agree
That what makes money for them
Is good for you and me
It is a foolish belief
With politicians too
A campaign contribution
Is good for me and you

Our whole world is heating up
It's plain enough to see
This is a beautiful world
And it's hot enough for me
You foul the air and water
How stupid can you be
This is a beautiful world
And it's hot enough for me

You conned us into believing
That cigarettes were fine
This is the health of our planet
Don't feed us that same old line
What are you trying to tell us
Just give the devil his due
The polar bear's shlong is shrinking
And yours will soon be too

Who is it that runs this world
The people who have the power
They just need a little profit
Four million dollars an hour
The birds are slowly dying
And so are the animals
This old world can still be saved
If we all just have the balls
