I heard that she was a lady
I gave her a wedding ring
I found out she was a lady
She was a lady of the evening

Yes she is a pretty woman
I must make that concession
And she’s able to please me
Cause that was her profession

When we’re walking hand in hand
My radar is always on
I think that every guy we meet
Might be a previous john

Let me give you some advice
From the school of hard knocks
Find yourself a homely girl
Someone who will wash your socks

Sometimes you might fall in love
With a set of lovely breasts
It would be a bad mistake
To wind up marrying the rest

You can lead a horse to water
But you can’t make him drink
You can lead a whore to culture
But you can’t make her think
