Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven
 

What do you know about heaven
What have you heard people say
Do they say heaven can wait
Or I’ll be there some day

But almost everyone will admit
Even though some will lie
Everybody wants to go to heaven
But nobody wants to die

Having a beautiful woman
Is like a slice of heaven
I finally found that’s true
When I was twenty-seven

Come over here my sweet young thing
We’ll have a little fun on the sly
I thank God you came my way
Your body makes a grown man cry
Everybody wants to go to heaven
I’m in heaven, my oh my

And I found out what hell is
I am here to tell you sir
Hell is when your wife finds out
You went to heaven without her

When my wife finally found us
Her eyes were filled with hate
She just reached into her purse
And pulled out a thirty-eight

Quick as a flash I was on my feet
A’scramblin’, a’grabbin’ and a’gropin’
I sure thank my lucky stars
That that back window was open

Then I heard a shot ring out
I was already on my way
Then I heard some screaming
And I faintly heard her say

Everybody wants to go to heaven
But nobody wants to die

I’ll remember you my sweet young thing
We had a little fun on the sly
When I think that you are gone
All I can do is cry

I have learned a big lesson
I have learned it oh so well
Don’t even think about going to heaven
Till you can avoid going to hell
