A Bird That Can’t Fly
I started to question The life I have led I talked to my friend Cause he has street cred My friend said to me What’s happening Fred I just can’t believe The rap sheet I read It’s a hard life I’ve heard it said But from where I sit You’d be better off dead
I’m a bird that can’t fly I’m a fish that can’t swim If you only knew The shape that I’m in I’m beginning to learn About the wages of sin Cause most every morning I’m soaked with gin
I went to the bar To get me a beer A sexy bartender I looked at her rear Her boyfriend was there He said, don’t you fear And before I could blink I was out on my ear He said, I get mad The guys can’t resist her Yeah, I know about that Because she’s my sister
I’m a bird that can’t fly I’m a fish that can’t swim If you only knew The shape that I’m in My kids are all stupid The wife’s ugly as sin I should have known Not to marry my kin
My doctor told me You’ve got three months to live He showed me my x-ray It looked like a sieve I said, I can’t pay I’ve got no more to give He said, in that case You’ve got six months to live I can’t believe it I’m just out of luck But he’ll touch up my x-ray For thirty-five bucks
I’m a bird that can’t fly I’m a fish that can’t swim If you only knew The shape that I’m in I’d tell you more troubles But where to begin In this game of life I’m sure I can’t win
